My daddy raped my mother
But I love his White skin I’m not dark like her Or White like him But you better believe every day I pray to be called light He creates brown babies wherever he goes Leaving us to play divide and conquer Some of us play it better than others Because we want him to love us so My daddy raped my mother And took all the spoils of her labor He ransacked our house Leaving us to rebuild Which is why I hated my mother for as long as I could remember Because I didn’t understand why we were so poor It was only later that I realized That it was all the fruits of the years of her labor That allowed my father to enjoy his next life With all the wives he married in Europe And whose houses he adorned with riches from ours Riches that were in my family for generations But that we will probably never ever get back In the U.S. they call this stealing But my father’s been at this for generations And he’s always been heavily rewarded My father is a Conquistawhore My mother the backbone of civilization Although he took, and took, and took And continues to take, and take, and take My mother continues to give to the World ten times more: Her children Some of my lighter brothers Don’t get that we’re all pawns in the same game They discard my darker brothers For not having the same name But I see the ways in which he mind-fucked us all I see the ways in which he mind-fucked me All my brothers and sisters think that he is the one with the power But in hoin' around, he created more of us than him. And I know it’ll just be a matter of time before we all win.
