There are lovers; there are haters (had to say that), but what gets you through life's toughest moments are friends.

Friends who know you and are there for you, even if you are oceans and miles away.

Friends who let you crash on their couch even if it's been almost a decade since you've last seen each other. Who won't accept even your tiny token of appreciation to say thanks for letting you crash in less than a week's notice of you coming to their city for a day's conference (here's looking at you A & M!)

Friends who are in town for only 24 hours and who want to do everything possible to see you even if both your schedules are jam-packed with appointments & other obligations (Nat, Mel, Cass, and others).

Friends who always let you crash when they have parties, to the point where it feels like their house is your house and all you have to do is bring pjs, no matter the time or occasion...

Friends who answer the phone on the first ring or after the first text of you letting them know that you need to break down and they listen to you as you break down.

Friends who lift you always when the going gets rough....who look out for your interests when it seems like the going is nowhere.

Friends who think of you, and just remind you that they love you. 

My life would not be full without them. All the possessions in the world can't replace them.  All the trips I take would not be complete without their shared excitement for exploring life's treasures and supporting me as I do it.

All we need is love. And all the world needs are friends.
